DoMS IIT Madras offers the following specializations in the MBA Program –

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
IIT Madras Executive MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria
- First class or 60% and above in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (55% for SC/ST/PwD)
- Minimum 3 years of work experience after UG as on 31st Dec 2023.
IIT Madras MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria
Regular Candidates
- Valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management.
- Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University.
- Final year students (of the above mentioned programme) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program.
- IIT Graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score.
Sponsored Candidates
Company Sponsored Candidates
- To be sponsored by their employers and forward their application through proper channel.
- Minimum work experience of two years in the sponsoring organization.
- Valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management.
- Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University.
Defense Personnel
- Defense personnel are exempted from the national level entrance test. Should apply through respective government agencies.
- Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with 55% marks (earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University.
Non-Resident Indian and Foreign Nationals
- Any Indian national with a valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT).
- A foreign national with a valid GMAT score
- Graduates in any discipline with a valid CAT score and at least two years of work experience in the same organization can apply under sponsored category through proper channels.
IIT Madras EMBA Admission 2023 Important Dates & Application
The deadline for submitting the application online is October 19th, 2023, 11.59pm.
Application Fee – Rs. 1500/-
It is your responsibility to ensure that the application and the fee is submitted on or before the deadline. An application which is complete in all respects and for which the application fee has been received would be considered for the selection process.

IIT Madras MBA Admission Application Process
- Candidates can apply online only through the official website https://doms.iitm.ac.in/admission/
- Only those who are shortlisted by DoMS, IIT Madras will be invited to appear for the selection process.
- Upload Copies of necessary certificates at the time of filing the application form.

Admission Process
Shortlisting Process
COMPOSITE SCORE will be calculated with due weights to
- CAT score
- Past academic performance,
- Work experience
- Academic Diversity
- Gender
Applicants will be shortlisted based on the composite score. Relaxation for all categories according to GOI norms will be followed.
Final Selection
Candidates from all categories shortlisted based on the composite score shall be called for a Virtual Interview.
The final selection will be based on the following with due weights to each of the components:
