Number of Seats
- The number of seats for each M.Sc Programs is limited to 30 except M.Sc. (Biotechnology) which is limited to 20 seats, 10 seats of M.Sc.(BT) is supported by DBT and admission is through GAT-B qualified rank in order of merit.

JUIT MSc Admissions 2022 Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc Biotechnology) & M.Sc Microbiology (Non DBT Sponsored)
- Passed/Appeared Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Computer Sciences, Medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S, Pharmacy, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences or any other degree recognized equivalent there to by the University with at least 45% marks aggregate/equivalent CGPA (for SC/ST), 50% marks aggregate/equivalent CGPA (for other categories).
- Students who are in the final year are eligible to apply for admission in MSc Programme. The admission is subject to successful completion of graduate programme & meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.
- M.Sc Biotechnology (DBT Sponsored)
- Passed / Appeared Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Medicine (MBBS) OR B.D.S, Pharmacy, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences or any other degree recognized equivalent there to by the University with at least 45% marks aggregate/equivalent CGPA (for SC/ST), 50% marks aggregate/equivalent CGPA (for other categories)
- Students who are in the final year are eligible to apply for admission in MSc Programme. The admission is subject to successful completion of graduate programme & meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.
- Allotment of the seat to the program will be made on merit of GAT-B – 2022 Examination Score / Rank within the category of admission.
JUIT MSc Admissions 2022 Application Process
- M.Sc Biotechnology) & M.Sc Microbiology (Non DBT Sponsored)
- Application form complete in all respect must reach to Registrar “JAYPEE UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, WAKNAGHAT, DISTT- SOLAN (H.P)-173234” by 31st July 2022 along with a bank draft of Rs. 500/-.
- Application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable for both online/application form purchased from JUIT Waknaghat.
- Draft to be made in favor of “Jaypee University of Information Technology” payable at Shimla.
- Attach self attested copies of Transcript / Grades / Marks Secured as per serial 7 of application form. Paste one photograph on application form.
M.Sc Biotechnology (DBT Sponsored)
- The aspiring candidates will be required to fill the on-line application form of JUIT in the prescribed format well within the time frame announced by JUIT.
- Application Form is available in the Admission Section of JUIT Website.
- Only those candidates who have successfully submitted the application form at JUIT well within the allowable time frame for admission based on GATB rank will be considered for admission to the MSc (Biotechnology) program for DBT sponsored seat.
- Mere submission of form does not make candidate eligible for admission to the program as selection will be based on merit of GAT-B rank and meeting the eligibility criteria.
- While making online application to the program candidates are directed to upload self attested copies of the Transcript / Grade Sheet / Mark Sheet alongwith GAT B Rank Card.
- Candidates applying for MSc (Biotechnology) program to DBT supported seat need not to pay any application fees. However, admitted students will be required to pay Rs. 500/- (Application Fees) in addition to the tuition fees at the time of Registration.
JUIT MSc Admissions 2022 Selection Process
M.Sc Biotechnology) & M.Sc Microbiology (Non DBT Sponsored)
- Seat allocation to the program with on the basis of merit of UG Program in a phased manner. Candidates awaiting their final semester / Year result use to update the same as the portal / admission form.
M.Sc Biotechnology (DBT Sponsored)
- Candidates desirous of seeking admission to the MSc Biotechnology program under this scheme will be admitted based on the rank obtained in GATB (Graduate Aptitude Test Biotechnology) 2022 conducted by Regional Centre for Biotechnology on behalf of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
